Why due cards or progress can look wrong
Why the dashboard, flashcards, and Study Guide may not always show the same word.
The dashboard can recommend a study focus while your due queue still prioritizes older review cards. Those two systems are related but not identical.
If the wrong word opens, the page may be using a stale selection or filter state. Refresh once and try again. If the mismatch persists, report it with screenshots of both screens.
Progress numbers also update from multiple activities, including review history, encountered words, and created flashcards. Short delays or different counts across surfaces can happen when those signals are not perfectly aligned yet.
