Study Guide introduces a word in context. Flashcards help you review and retain it. Journal turns that word into output so you can actually use it.
A good default loop is: open the Study Guide word, review the flashcard, then write one short sentence or response using the same word.
The dashboard may recommend one focus word for the day, but your due review queue can still contain older cards. That is normal. Review keeps older words active while the Study Guide keeps new learning moving forward.
